THE EAST MARINA

The East Marina was the first of four marinas built and was constructed back in 2007. Its design is inspired by European-style marinas and it has the capacity to accommodate 208 yachts at a time.

The East Marina’s proximity to Dubai Marina’s residential spaces is a boon for residents, especially since the berth is built around a vibrant open-air promenade with a series of retail shops, trendy waterfront cafes and restaurants. 

THE CLUB HOUSE MARINA

The Club House Marina is located in front of the DMYC clubhouse with a concrete dock and a capacity of berthing 134 yachts. Only cardholders are allowed in this marina. 

THE MALL MARINA

With a capacity of 74 yachts, the Dubai Mall Marina is another marina operated by the DMYC. It has an array of exclusive boutiques and shops. Furthermore, there is a golf-buggy service that transports members to the clubhouse. The Address Hotel is also present at this location. 

THE WEST BAY MARINA

The marina currently has room for 100 yachts. Those who own superyachts can also benefit from an extra-large berth. 

Rally Programme

Apart from the mentioned benefits, members of the Dubai Marina Yacht Club are also treated to monthly rally programmes. Bulgari Yacht club restaurant: Great ambience, but why the sense of entitlement?

Let’s start with the the positives: best spot in Dubai, hands down. Super stylish and smart setting. Food very good (see below re starters), with small but nice selection of primi and mains, mainly fish, as well as deserts, all nicely presented. Well mixed cocktails & interesting wine list with reasonable price range - from high to stratospheric, but that’s Dubai. Now, the less positive: Selection of starters is underwhelming and not always compatible with the fish-based menu. The music (live DJ, beats) sits rather incongruously with the setting; I would have assumed a more jazzy soundtrack to be more compatible with the 60’s glam riviera style (but that, I guess, is subjective). What grated most nevertheless was the slight sense of entitlement of the staff. For example, having been to the restaurant many times, but never been offered a table in the ‘front row’ I very politely asked the maitre d’ what the secret was to be offered one (the restaurant was not even full the last time I was there); his clearly disgruntled response was that if I ask, my request ‘may be accommodated’. But hey, I am the customer (a repeat customer to boot) - I expect to be indulged, not ‘accommodated’! No one was there to greet us when we left, and the two ladies at the reception were too busy checking their phones, literally didn’t even look up as we exited. Small things you may... Bulgari Hotel Yacht Club, charming Italian restaurant overlooking the Marina. Good views but Average food. The veal ragu was good but everything else was average. It is worth the visit particularly during winter season when the weather is good and you can sit in the terrace overlooking the marina but nothing more.

We had the pleasure of dining at the Italian pavilion at expo 2020 which was catered for by the Bugari Hotel of Dubai. The standard of food in there gastronomic restaurant was absolutely perfect as was the service was even better than that. What makes a great restaurant is not only great food but it is great service and attention to friendly detail by the management and this was the case. The young team who run this catering outlet Have done a very good job And it assists in us looking at the Bulgari hotel on our next visit to Dubai.
