The Solaris 55 is a yacht that is for sailors who expect great performance but who also wish to be able to sail with reduced crew. Designer Javier Soto Acebal worked with the Solaris Yachts team for fourteen months to develop this yacht and to ensure that she works perfectly in terms of performance, aesthetics and functionality. Her performance hull shape carries maximum beam aft and the high stability ratio and righting moment is a function of her design together with her t-keel with lead bulb and cast iron fin which has a stability ratio of over 40%.

As with her sisters, the control lines are within easy reach of the helm and the signature self-tacking jib makes her easily handled with a small crew. Solaris recognise the importance of providing generous storage so the stowage available on the Solaris 55 is large and she also has a dedicated liferaft pod. There is also a large hydraulically operated tender garage with a wide transom door enabling the easy deployment of the dinghy while the transom also serves as an ample swim platform.

Internally again, there is ample stowage for equipment and provisions allowing the 55 to spend lengthy periods away from port sailing or at anchor as you wish. All the sleeping cabins have en-suite heads compartments and there are two options for the owners’ stateroom where either a centreline or outboard berth can be fitted. The starboard aft cabin can be fitted with two single berths and given its generous size is very much a VIP cabin for guests. The large watertight deck locker forward can also be fitted out as a crew cabin with its own heads facilities unless you prefer to use the area as a fitted stowage area with shelves and storage boxes.

Again, with a choice of interior finishes – light oak, teak, washed and antiqued oak, the craftsmanship, attention to detail and quality throughout is as you would expect from Solaris Yachts.

The Solaris 55 stands as the culmination of Solaris Yachts ‘ 50-year legacy. Once again, Solaris has collaborated with naval architect Javier Soto Acebal for the design, complemented by Adi Design ‘s contribution to the interior aesthetics. Solaris’s dedicated team has meticulously overseen the structural, systemic, and technical aspects of the boat.

Every aspect of the Solaris 55 has been meticulously analyzed and strategically placed to optimize its performance. With an overall length of 16.90 meters and a beam of 5.00 meters, the Solaris 55 integrates top-tier components from leading brands to ensure reliability and functionality.

The hydrodynamic design of the hull features a modern profile, promoting longitudinal trim for enhanced performance. The deck layout combines cleanliness with functionality, featuring an expansive cockpit with full-width steering wheels for improved visibility and maneuverability. Noteworthy features include two cockpit tables with innovative windows to maximize natural light within the cabins and saloon, as well as an opening transom for convenient dinghy storage and molded steps for easy access to the bathing platform.

The model’s structure underscores Solaris’s commitment to safety and comfort, with a configuration that integrates three composite main bulkheads bonded to the hull and deck, complemented by a lead bulb and cast iron keel.

Solaris 55, the interiors

Below deck, the Solaris 55 offers a spacious and symmetrical layout, with a forward owner’s suite available in two configurations, each with an ensuite bathroom featuring a large shower. The saloon provides a luminous and balanced space, customizable with either a sofa or two large armchairs. The L-shaped galley, located portside, offers flexibility for personalization and is equipped with modern amenities.

The two aft cabins each feature a private bathroom with a separate shower, while the sail locker can be converted into a crew cabin with an integrated bathroom.

A long 14 months in the design office eventually came the spectacular Solaris 55. Every detail was reviewed and fine-tuned to ensure she became a benchmark 16m yacht, in regards to her looks, capabilities and performance. As with her sisters she also carries her maximum beam aft a design feature which is now seen most commonly on a large number of ocean racing yachts. She has a high stability ratio and righting moment ballast to weight ratio of more than 40% created by her T keel with lead bulb and cast iron fin available with a 3m draft or optional shallower 2.7m.

Below decks of course there is a choice of layout options forward of the saloon. Whether you prefer an offset or island berth you can take your pick and it is a substantial sized owner’s cabin. The layout also allows space for an en-suite crew cabin forward, if you have no need for crew this can alternatively be a large shelved sail locker. Back aft there are 2 guest cabins both of which are en-suite, the starboard aft cabin can have 2 single berths making it a very versatile space. Both aft cabins have huge volume and are incredibly comfortable guest cabins or even considered second master cabins.

On deck she has the same clever sail set up as her sisters, with twin helms, lines led aft and self-tacking jib. The thing that makes her such a perfect bluewater cruisers is the huge volume of deck stowage. With the sail locker or crew cabin forward and very wide tender garage with access from the deck and opening transom door which transoms into a large bathing platform. She also has specific life raft storage on deck and specific lockers for tools so all your storage needs are catered for!

Cinquante années d’expérience du chantier naval Solaris convergent dans ce nouveau Solaris 55 qui incorpore toutes les qualités dignes d’un bateau de tour du monde. L’architecture du nouveau Solaris 55 illustre tout le savoir-faire du concepteur emblématique Javier Soto Acebal, enrichi par Adi Design pour la conception intérieure et par le bureau d’études Solaris pour la partie structures, installations et systèmes internes.

Le nouveau Solaris 55, qui mesure 16,90m par 5,00m, est un concentré de composants hi-tech et d’équipements techniques dernier cri. Seules les meilleures marques et les meilleures accessoires trouvent leur place sur ce bateau à l’accastillage exemplaire.

Coque et aménagement du pont.

Une étude hydrodynamique fondamentale a permis la définition d’une nouvelle coque innovante, avec son léger bouchain à l’avant qui vient épouser un élégant arrondi à la large poupe. Ces formes et lignes esthétiques et techniques assurent la stabilité longitudinale du voilier. L’aménagement du pont apparaît simple et épuré, fruit d’une attention spécifique en parfaite harmonie avec les caractéristiques de la coque. Le cockpit spacieux, avec les barres à roue à toute largeur, offrent une vue inédite pendant la navigation et lors des manoeuvres de port. Deux tables de cockpit facilitent le passage vers l’entrée du bateau où deux fenêtres diffusent la lumière à l’intérieur.

Le nouveau Solaris 55 est équipé d’un garage à annexe longitudinal et d’un élégant accès au cockpit formé de marches moulées dans la structure.

Avec le nouveau Solaris 55, vous retrouverez, bien évidemment, la solidité structurelle légendaire de la marque, résultante des trois cloisons structurelles en composite stratifiées en monobloc à la coque et au pont. Autre secret Solaris: la quille avec son bulbe en plomb et sa plateforme d’accouplement extra-large assemblée dans la structure de la coque.

Nouveau Solaris 55: la fusion parfaite entre l’avant-garde et le savoir-faire traditionnel d’un chantier naval engagé pour offrir le maximum de confort et de sécurité.

Aménagement intérieur

Dès vos premiers pas à bord, vous apprécierez la belle symétrie harmonieuse et la généreuse distribution des espaces: le plan de l’intérieur du nouveau Solaris 55 rassure par un certain classissisme, avec la grande cabine propriétaire à l’avant (deux versions disponibles) et sa belle salle de douche-WC. Le carré offre lumière et symétrie: vous y trouverez canapés ou deux larges fauteuils. La cuisine, sur bâbord, est en forme de L et équipée de tout le confort pour les propriétaires les plus exigeants.

Les deux cabines arrière ont chacune leur propre salle de bain avec une douche séparée.

Accessible sur le pont, une soute à voiles peut être convertie en cabine d’équipage avec salle de bain intégrée.
