Fun for all ages, nighttime cruises provide the perfect opportunity to watch Luminous The Symphony of Us or Happily Ever After  right from the water. These brilliant fireworks spectaculars add an amazing "wow" factor to your cruise!

From the comfort of a chartered boat, your party can set sail for International Gateway near World Showcase Lagoon to watch the skies light up over EPCOT . Or, embark on the waters of Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake near  Magic Kingdom park —with synchronized audio onboard to fully immerse you in the moment. It’s an incredible finale to the festivities!

Departure Locations Depart from Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts to experience Luminous The Symphony of Us or sail from the following marinas to view Happily Ever After:

• Contemporary Marina
• Polynesian Marina
• Grand Floridian Marina
• Fort Wilderness Marina
• Wilderness Lodge Marina

What’s Included Each cruise is accompanied by a captain and includes assorted snacks and soft drinks. Festive banners and balloons are also included in the cost and can be requested at the time of booking.

Pricing Prices start at $449—plus tax. Prices vary by date. Boats seat up to 10 Guests.

Reservations To reserve a cruise, please call (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529. Guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call. Learn when advance reservations can be made .

Please note—in rare instances, fireworks shows may be rescheduled or canceled. Please refer to the entertainment schedule to confirm showtimes 2 weeks prior to your reservation and check again the day of your reservation.

Important Details Before you book, please be aware of the following information:

• Please arrive 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to fireworks start time.
• Boats are not equipped with full-size dining tables. A cocktail table is provided.
• For Guests with limited mobility, wheelchair/ECV transfer is necessary.
• There is a 24-hour cancellation policy. Full price will be charged/forfeited if the Guest cancels within one day or fails to show up for the reservation.

The Grand 1 is a 52-foot Sea Ray® Sedan Bridge Yacht that guests may rent for a truly indulgent experience sailing the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake.

Grand 1 Yacht

The Grand 1 is guided by an experienced captain, and can accommodate 18 guests (or 17, if the party chooses to sail with a butler). Evening cruises offer guests views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks complete with the show’s music piped directly onboard.

Celebration Cruise banners and balloons can be requested upon booking the cruise (they are included in the cost). Assorted snacks and soft drinks are also included.

Though not included in the fee, guests may add Private Dining (from an array of hors d’oeuvres or desserts up to brunch or reception-style dinner) to their cruise on the Grand 1.

The Grand 1 Yacht is located at the Grand Floridian Resort Marina.

Prices start at $480 per hour, plus tax, for DAY excursions; Prices start at $799 per hour, plus tax, for EVENING fireworks excursions; Private Dining and Butler Service are available for an additional charge.

The Grand 1 Yacht at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

A cruise on the Grand 1 is the ideal romantic place to watch fireworks too. The Grand Floridian has always been one of Disney's best resorts and it just keeps getting better as time goes on. The Yacht is a great way to spend the day if you don't want to visit the parks.

The Grand Floridian Yacht takes people out on the water for the day and they pay attention to the guests at Disney who can rent it out as often as they like.

We recently enjoyed a "Wishes" cruise with friends on the Grand 1. The price quoted is for an hour; if shudder to think what the cost would be for a full day's rental! We brought our own sodas and water but it would be lovely to have a catered meal onboard. It's a beautiful boat, but the lagoon can get pretty buggy in the summer so keep the sliding door closed! It was an amazing spot to view the fireworks; I plan to add a blog post very soon.

Absolutely one of our best experiences ever! The crew was outstanding. The fireworks outstanding. The tour was also outstanding. We feel lucky to have been able to be on The Grand 1!

My Experience watching Happily Ever After aboard the Grand 1 Yacht

Last week, I was fortunate enough to be invited to experience a viewing of Happily Ever After, the fireworks spectacular at Magic Kingdom Park, aboard the Grand 1 Yacht!

To say I was excited to experience this is an understatement. This was a long time “Disney Bucket List” item that I was excited to cross off!

Friends, it was such a treat! The view and experience were just as special as I imagined they would be.

I never get tired of watching Magic Kingdom Park fireworks. In fact, my home has fireworks view. Yet, I enjoyed this fireworks cruise so much that I cried. Yes, I cried!

I get asked the same thing all the time, “Do you get tired of the fireworks?”

The answer is always the same, “No! I love them!” No matter how many times I see them, I always find something new.

The audio of Happily Ever After plays on the yacht’s onboard speakers as you watch the fireworks — you won’t miss a single sound!

You are encouraged to relax under the illuminated skies while enjoying the show. You will find snacks, sodas, and water aboard the yacht if you don’t book private dining.

Even for a person like me who has watched the fireworks hundreds of times, this vantage point offered an entirely new experience! I love experiencing “new” things at Walt Disney World Resort.

Specialty Cruises at Walt Disney World Resort

Did you know? Walt Disney World offers multiple boating options, marinas and unique experiences for specialty cruises .

Options include the Grand 1 Yacht, 21-foot pontoons, and 25-foot boats. They offer everything from dessert fireworks cruises to celebration cruises!

The celebration cruises can be decorated for birthdays, anniversaries and other special events!

The Grand 1 Yacht is the most opulent option at Walt Disney World Resort. It is a 52-foot Sea Ray® Sedan Bridge Yacht. At the present time, it is the only yacht available as one of the Walt Disney World Resort specialty cruises.

Your experience aboard the Grand 1 includes an experienced captain and deckhand at the helm. Guests can enjoy private dining and butler amenities in a spectacular setting. This spacious watercraft accommodates a total of 18 people—or 17 if traveling with a butler.

Our captain, Todd, was amazing! If you sail aboard this yacht, make sure to talk to him. He has many great stories and anecdotes that he loves sharing with Guests.

Todd is also incredibly knowledgeable about the vessel itself and has special “tidbits” to share about the price of the yacht ($1,000,000+), its purchase, and its features.

The night that I visited, it was very cold. The deckhand offered us warm blankets to use during the show and while we explored Bay Lake. I loved this attention to detail!

Our group boarded the Grand 1 Yacht at 6:45 p.m. for a 7:00-9:00 p.m. sailing around Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon. This allowed us ample time to talk, enjoy the unique views Todd shared with us, and indulge in some snacks. Todd even took us to see the progress on what used to be Disney’s Discovery Island!

Pricing and Additional Features

Pricing for the Grand 1 Yacht begins at $399 per hour, plus tax for daytime cruises and $799 per hour, plus tax for evening and Fireworks cruises.

This beautiful yacht has 3 staterooms and 2 bathrooms . Yes, it is possible to rent the Grand 1 Yacht for an entire night if you and your family or friends wish to do so!

It is also outfitted with a working kitchen, a large flat-screen television, sitting areas, a “dining” area, an outdoor deck, and so much more!

Overall, this is a great experience for those looking to treat themselves to a unique and special experience during their visit to Walt Disney World.

I think it’d make a great birthday, graduation, anniversary or vow renewal celebration! In fact, the Cast Members told us that they often host wedding receptions on the Grand 1 Yacht — so awesome!

A Special Cruise on the Grand 1

On Saturday January 14, 2012 we chartered The Grand 1 Yacht as a birthday surprise for our friends. We started out trying to reserve a pontoon boat but learned that we had too many people in our group, so we decided to go for the “once in a lifetime” chance to ride the Grand 1. The Yacht can take up to 18 guests. It can take 17 if you decide to have a butler aboard, but you only need a butler if you are ordering “hot” food for your guests.

The Grand 1 is a 52-foot SeaRay Sedan Bridge Cruiser. While speaking to Captain Hooper we were told it was a 2007 and it was recently refurbished. We took pictures of each stateroom and the salon, but they really don’t do it justice.

We elected to leave from The Grand Floridian but you can choose to leave from any resort marina. As a matter of fact, some of our guests were running late as they were using the Disney transportation buses from Old Key West. We told our captain they were just leaving the stop at Fort Wilderness and he said we could have picked them up there instead of having them take the bus the rest of the way to The Grand Floridian.

The price is $520 an hour (plus $33.80 tax, and we did tip the captain and first mate). We weren’t sure if that would be enough time, but we had little ones aboard that had a busy day planned Sunday and we didn’t want them out too late. The hour turned out to work perfectly.

The boat goes out a half-hour before Wishes. On the day we chartered the Grand 1, Wishes was at 8 p.m. so we were told to be at the marina by 7 p.m. Most of us got there by 7 or a bit earlier. It was a slightly chilly night so the captain graciously let us aboard and turned on the heat… suddenly we were glad we didn’t all fit on the pontoon. If you close the glass sliding doors, the salon was toasty warm and even the bridge had heat and clear plastic curtains that the captain had snapped shut.

We ordered a 10-inch cake for our birthday celebrations. That came to $70 by the time they added in the delivery to the yacht and taxes, but it was one of the best cakes I have ever had. We ordered the vanilla cake with the custard and strawberry filling and a whipped cream icing. The cake was supposed to be delivered and set up before we boarded, but there was some type of mix-up with the time in the kitchen so we waited on the bridge as they set up the cake in the salon. They placed a tablecloth on the table with the cake and sprinkled candy Mickeys around. It also came with a serving knife, real plates and silverware, candles, matches, and plenty of napkins.

By the time our last guests got aboard it was a bit past 7:30, but it was still plenty of time to cruise Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon while we sang Happy Birthday and ate cake, before we settled into position for the fireworks. (Some of the guys aboard were even watching some of the playoff game on the TV).

The captain unsnapped the bridge for people up top and those of us downstairs stepped out of the salon onto the aft deck to get ready for Wishes.

The Grand 1 has speakers throughout so the the music from Wishes can be heard from anywhere in the yacht. It was amazing and we could hear our guests oohing and aahing with each colorful burst.

After Wishes we headed back to The Grand Floridian. The little ones had a ball exploring the rest of the Yacht. I’m not even sure they knew we were moving, as it was such a smooth ride and there was so much to see on board. Even the smallest stateroom with bunk beds had TVs at each end of the beds. There was one slightly nervous moment when two of our little ones locked themselves in the master stateroom, but one of the moms was able to talk them through how to unlock the door and everyone had a big laugh and we didn’t have to leave anyone on board.

It was a magical experience and a great way to see Wishes. It was like Disney set them off just for us.

Thanks so much for posting this; I was thinking about booking the Grand 1 for a date in January but was apprehensive because of weather concerns.

The fiance and I have been so indecisive on having a wedding or just running to the courthouse (we would much rather spend our money on the honeymoon to Disneyland !!). This was all until we found out about the Grand 1. Its so hard to find recent reviews/info on everything there is to offer, so I'm hoping you lovely ladies can shed some light on the topic. Ideally, it would happen early janurary 2017 with our immediate family (16 & 2 babies), dinner prior to boarding. My questions are: Can we actually get married on the cruise? How many people can fit (I see different numbers everywhere) What is the cost? (again, I keep finding different prices) Is 1 hour enough for cake/champgane/fireworks/exploring? (We think maybe doing 2 hours) Thank you!

Thank you so much!! A great help We may just not do the ceremony on board, don't wanna get anyone in trouble! How should I go about booking? The WDWPLAY phone number for the yatch, then catering for cake/champagne? Or could it all be done together, somehow? Also, when could I book?

For Wishes, the ride lasts one hour. You can order whatever kind of desserts you want from Private Dining—there's no set menu—so what you choose determines the price. Wait–why does it ruin your whole plan? You can always book 2 pontoon boats for Wishes and do the same thing. Or do a small party at Sago Cay or the Contemporary to watch Wishes.
