Yachtley Crew Announce 'Full Steam Ahead Tour' In Support Of Their Debut EP 'Seas The Day'

Their debut EP was released via Jimmy Buffett's Mailboat Records.

Yachtley Crew are the seven-piece So Cal band who burst onto the club scene in 2017 selling out countless local venues before starting a nationwide Yacht Rock craze. The band set sail on their “Full Steam Ahead Tour” which kicked off in Indio, CA on February 3rd at Fantasy Springs in support of their debut EP Seas The Day via Jimmy Buffett's Mailboat Records.

Seas the Day was produced and mixed by Grammy award winning Chris Lord-Alge (Stevie Nicks, Steven Tyler, Keith Urban, Bruce Springsteen, Green Day) and features the band's first original song “S*x on the Beach,” accompanied by a video with a guest appearance by the Access Hollywood & iHeart host, Mario Lopez.

The video was directed by Myles Erfurth (Dead Sara, Ice Nine Kills, Twiztid). Yachtley Crew is managed by longtime industry icon Andy Gould (Rob Zombie, Pantera, Lionel Richie, Guns N' Roses) and represented by Jim Lenz at TKO.

The band has also reunited with Chris Lord Alge for a follow up 6 song EP which they are currently in the studio recording.

Yachtley Crew have appeared on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live, have helped ring in the New Year on KLAS and KTLA's “Las Vegas Countdown to 2023” (the exclusive, Emmy-winning special syndicated program that reached reaches more than 16.5 million U.S. TV households), performed on countless morning television and radio shows throughout the country, have been featured on Fox News nationally and performed on SiriusXM's Yacht Rock Radio “Yacht Rock 311” show as the first ever Yacht Rock band to perform live at the station. They have also performed at a cadre of charity and special events throughout the years including Mario Lopez Golf Classic Tournament in support of the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center.

Yachtley Crew , are the seven-piece So Cal band who burst onto the club scene in 2017, selling out countless local venues before starting a nationwide Yacht Rock craze and being noticed by the legendary Jimmy Buffett who signed them to his own Mailboat Records label.

The nautical-suited and captain’s-hat-clad Yachtley Crew (otherwise known as “The Titans Of Soft Rock) is comprised of lead vocalist Phillip Daniel (Philly Ocean), drummer Rob Jones (Sailor Hawkins), bassist Chaz Ruiz (Baba Buoy), guitarist Thomas Gardner Jr. (Tommy Buoy), backing vocalist Curt Clendenin (Stoney Shores), saxophone/flutist Paul Pate (Pauly Shores) and keyboardist Matt Grossman (Matthew McDonald).

Growing exponentially over the past years, Yachtley Crew have toured in cities throughout the U.S. and Europe and are currently gearing up for their 2024 Full Steam Ahead tour that begins in March. The group will continue their third year of residency at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas and recently released their first EP Seas The Day on Mailboat Records.

Seas the Day was produced and mixed by Grammy award winning Chris Lord-Alge (Stevie Nicks, Steven Tyler, Keith Urban, Bruce Springsteen, Green Day) and features the band’s first original song “Sex on the Beach,” accompanied by a video with a guest appearance by the Access Hollywood & iHeart host, Mario Lopez. Grab your captain’s hat! The nautical-suited “Titans of Soft Rock” Yachtley Crew will be making port in San Diego for its “Seas the Day” tour. 

The seven-piece band burst onto the California club scene in 2017 and has spent the past few years selling out shows across the US and gathering a fan base of “Crewpies” that is unsurpassed. 

Yacht Rock encapsulates the revival of soft rock and Top 40 hits from the late 70s to the early 80s, which has become a nation wide phenomenon, inspiring fans to dress the part and sing along. The Yachtley Crew—lead vocalist Phillip Daniel (Philly Ocean), drummer Rob Jones (Sailor Hawkins), bassist ChazRuiz (Baba Buoy), guitarist Thomas Gardner Jr. (Tommy Buoy), backing vocalist Curt Clendenin (StoneyShores), saxophone/flutist Paul Pate (Pauly Shores) and keyboardist Matt Grossman (MatthewMcDonald)—will reel you in with their world-class musicianship as they perform timeless soft rock hits from Christopher Cross to Hall & Oates to Toto and more.

The Epstein Family Amphitheater is located in the Pepper Canyon Neighborhood on the UC San Diego campus.

Take the Trolley: The amphitheater is located next to the Blue Line Trolley, UCSD Central Campus Station. For more information about the trolley, visit the MTS website >

From the North: Take I-5 south and exit La Jolla Village Drive. Use the right lanes to turn right onto La Jolla Village Drive and take the first right onto Villa La Jolla Drive.

From the South: Take I-5 north and exit La Jolla Village Drive. Use the left lanes to turn left onto La Jolla Village Drive and take the first right onto Villa La Jolla Drive.

The closest parking structure is Gilman Parking Structure. UC San Diego requires parking permits 7 days a week. Permits can be purchased at permit machines or through the Parkmobile App . Visit UC San Diego Transportation for information on where to buy your permit, and costs.

Accessible Seating

Wheelchair-accessible seating is available in all seating areas for patrons in wheelchairs and their companions.

You may bring in empty refillable water bottles, small personal bags (16” x 16 “ x 8”). All bags are subject to search by security officers. We encourage that you dress in layers and for those who have tickets to the General Lawn Section to wear shoes without heels.  

Additional prohibited items include: strollers, large backpacks, flags, tobacco products, alcohol, cans, bottles, ice chests, picnic baskets, lawn furniture, weapons of any kind, umbrellas, pets, hula hoops, musical instruments, laser pointers, bicycles, and skateboards.  Cameras with a detachable lens of any kind and professional recording devices are not allowed, including GoPros. Scooters, skateboards, roller skates, and other recreational wheeled equipment are not permitted at the Epstein Family Amphitheater. UC San Diego is a smoke-free campus.

For the safety and comfort of all, you may not bring lawn chairs or furniture. The lawn is quite steep and not safe for lawn chairs. You can bring in personal seat cushions, blankets, or seating,  as long as they fit your personal space and lie flat on the ground  (no legs, no hard structure). We encourage the same for the stone bench seating areas on both General Admission and reserved seating shows.

Food and drink will be available for purchase in the venue. Please note: Food vendors are cashless.

Providence, RI  – J.L. “Lynn” Singleton, President and CEO of the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC), and Joseph W. Walsh, Esq., Chairman of PPAC’s Board of Directors, unveiled PPAC’s 2024/2025 Broadway Season at a press conference in the theatre’s Grand Lobby.

Joseph W. Walsh, Esq., said, “PPAC’s Gala Celebration on Saturday, September 21st will kick off the Season in style with the first performance of  A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL ! The Gala Celebration is an annual fundraiser which helps support our community outreach and engagement programming. These programs, which include  Disney Musicals in Schools ,  ARTS Showcase , F rom Books to Broadway ,  Next Stop BROADWAY® ,  Ocean State Star Awards  and many more, offer unique opportunities for students in grades K – 12 and for adults to experience and engage in live theatre. I am pleased to announce that we will be offering a sensory-friendly performance of  THE VANISHING ELEPHANT  on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 2P. This critically-acclaimed production tells the story of a resilient elephant with the use of large-scale puppetry, illusion and magic.”

J.L. “Lynn” Singleton said, “The  Taco and The White Family Foundation Broadway Series  features national tours direct from Broadway, starting with the national tour launches of  A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL  and  SHUCKED.  These are the 23rd and 24th national tours to launch at PPAC since 2008.  The Broadway Series includes the Providence premieres of  MJ THE MUSICAL ,  LIFE OF PI, & JULIET, SOME LIKE IT HO T and  BACK TO THE FUTURE: THE MUSICAL . The  Encore Series  includes a one-week engagement of  MAMMA MIA! ,  RIVERDANCE 30 – THE NEW GENERATION  and  CHICAGO .  HAMILTON  returns to PPAC as a Broadway Special for two weeks in December.  THE CHER SHOW  plays for two performances in February 2025.

John Hazen White, Jr., Executive Chairman/CEO of  Taco Comfort Solutions  and  Taco and The White Family Foundation , the flagship sponsor of the Broadway Series, said in a recorded message that was part of the Theatre’s season announcement video, “This is the 16th year that  Taco and The White Family Foundation  have sponsored the Broadway Series, and we are looking forward to the amazing line-up of shows that will be coming to PPAC. As a Rhode Island business owner and lover of the arts, I feel blessed to be able to give back to the community and uplift them through the arts.  A vibrant arts community, including live performances at PPAC, provides families with the opportunity to enrich their lives.”

Along with Broadway national touring productions, the Providence Performing Arts Center presents some of the biggest names in concerts.  Mannheim Steamroller Christmas  will usher in the holidays on Friday, December 6 at 7:30P. Previously announced concerts include  Gregory Alan Isakov  on Friday, June 21 at 7:30P;  Jason Mraz  on Sunday, June 30 at 7:30P and  Nas with the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra  on Saturday, July 20 at 8P.  PPAC’s  Cool Summer Nights  series features  Bruce in the USA  on Saturday, June 22 at 8P;  John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band  on Saturday, July 13 at 8P and  Yachtley Crew  on Saturday, July 27 at 8P; tickets for  Cool Summer Nights  concerts start at just $10!   

Subscription packages for the  Taco and The White Family Foundation Broadway Series  and the  Encore Series  are on sale now for renewing and new subscribers. Current subscribers will receive their subscription renewal packets in the mail within the next 10 days; the subscription renewal deadline is  Friday, April 26  .
