Description

Spinnaker Island, also known as Spinnaker Island & Yacht Club is an innovative 103-unit condominium complex on Spinnaker Island. This resort-style, beachfront community was created in the mid-1980s to help solve the problem of Boston's housing crunch. These spectacular condos were designed to smoothly blend with houses in the neighboring towns of Boston Harbor's South Shore. In an effort to mimic traditional New England styles, they have sharply sloped roofs, paned bay windows, and gray, weathered-looking shingles. These units are approximately 1,700-1,900 square feet, give or take, and are in the range of $300,000 to $350,000.

The townhouse-style units at Spinnaker Island have two or three bedrooms, depending on the floor plan. They have a gorgeous living room with gleaming hardwood floors and a fireplace to cozy up around during a cold New England winter night. The living room has oversized windows with stunning views of the beach. The windows brighten the entire room with sunlight. A sliding glass door opens up onto a private deck that's the perfect place to unwind after a long day while listening to the waves crashing on the shore.

Spinnaker Island's condos have a stunning eat-in kitchen with a built-in desk area underneath two large windows. A center island is big enough to sit three people. The kitchen has beautiful countertops, cabinets galore, and sleek stainless steel appliances. The master bedroom has vaulted ceilings, a ceiling fan, and - you guessed it - even more big windows. Occupants can watch the sun rise or set over the ocean from their bed.

Amenities on Spinnaker Island include an L-shaped swimming pool and a barrier beach. Each unit has a one-car garage. Spinnaker Island is less than half a mile off of the south side of the Nantasket peninsula in Hingham Bay. A 300-yard man-made causeway connects it to the mainland. The marina accommodates roughly 69 boat slips, which are owned by non-unit owners and unit owners. Boat slips can be purchased for an additional cost. Residents also have access to the commuter boat to Boston.

2023 TWO HARBOR FALL SERIES

The Pierpont Bay Yacht Club (PBYC) and Anacapa Yacht Club (AnYC) are thrilled to invite you to the 2023 Two Harbor Fall Series. Experience the best of fall racing in this three-race series without any throw-outs.

📅 Race Schedule:

• Race #1: October 7, hosted by PBYC
• Race #2: October 28, hosted by AnYC
• Race #3: November 11, hosted by PBYC

⏰ Start Time: The first class is scheduled to start at 11:30 AM each race day.

📍 Courses: Races will be chosen from the 2023 Two Harbor Fall Series Course Chart, varying from 7 to 23 nautical miles and will be coastal. All starts will be near the Mandalay buoy. The 1st and 3rd races finish at Ventura Harbor, while the 2nd race concludes at the Channel Islands Harbor.

🚤 Classes: We have PHRF-handicapped spinnaker and non-spinnaker classes, and an ORCA-handicapped class. Class breaks will be determined by entries. Ensure you have the required safety equipment as specified by the U.S. Safety Equipment Requirements for Nearshore Races .

The entry fee for the series is $85 ($75 for USSA members), and individual races are $32 ($28 for USSA members).

🏆 Trophies: To be eligible for series trophies, PHRF boats must have valid PHRF ratings. Temporary ratings will be assigned for this race only by the race management for boats without valid PHRF ratings.

2023 SPRING SERIES

The Pierpont Bay Yacht Club invites you join us for the PBYC Spring Series which will consist of three coastal races with no throw-outs. At the suggestion of several racers, the finish will be at the Mandalay mark rather than in the Ventura Harbor entrance. Racers will take and report their finish times to the RC. This is a test and based on racer input may be extended to other PBYC races.

We’re trying out the app  RaceQs.com .  Racers can download onto their phones or tablets, turn it on, and it will record your track to be uploaded to us for (hopefully) display at the club.  It’s free and looks like it could be fun.

Monday - Friday with either Half Day (mornings only) and Full Day option

There is a 3 consecutive week minimum commitment out of the 8 week program. Weeks cannot be changed once committed to because of staffing considerations.

Cancellation Policy

The program is a 3 week minimum commitment; no-refund/reimbursements available once applications are submitted. This is to ensure our activities and staffing are covered and to avoid additional costs.

Program Activities & Scheduling

This summer we will be making further improvements to our activities and scheduling. We will be marking the calendar with Fabulous Thursday theme days, those theme days will include;  Animal Adventures, Mad Science, Magic Show, Hawaiian Day, Halloween Day and much more!
