Traumyachten : Das sind die Lieblingsschiffe der YACHT-Leser

Qualität beim Bootskauf ist den meisten Seglern hierzulande zunehmend wichtiger als ein günstiger Preis. Und: Ob neu oder gebraucht, Eigner investieren mehr Geld als je zuvor in immer größere Schiffe. Das sind nur zwei spannende Erkenntnisse der großen YACHT-Leserumfrage aus dem vergangenen Herbst, deren detaillierte Auswertung nun vorliegt.

Die Segelbootbranche ist weiter auf Wachstumskurs, die Nachfrage wie schon in den beiden zurückliegenden Jahren ungebrochen hoch. 20 Prozent der Segler tragen sich derzeit mit konkreten Kaufabsichten, viele haben sogar bereits ein neues Schiff geordert.

Auch das geht aus der Umfrage der YACHT hervor, an der sich rund 7.000 Leser beteiligt haben. Die meisten träumen von einem Fahrtenschiff. Die Top Ten der Wunschyachten führt Hallberg-Rassy an; das war schon in den vergangenen Jahren so. Die Schweden haben es jedoch geschafft, ihren Vorsprung gegenüber anderen Yachtmarken kräftig auszubauen: von 16,4 Prozent im Jahr 2018 auf nun 20,3 Prozent. Überraschend folgt mit 5,3 Prozent auf Platz zwei des Rankings – wenn auch bereits mit großem Abstand zum Spitzenreiter – Sirius; die norddeutsche Werft stand vor drei Jahren noch an Position sechs.

Im Gegensatz zu den Traumyachten bildet die Liste der tatsächlich derzeit von den Lesern gesegelten Schiffe die Realität ab. Hier sind die Marken der großen Serienhersteller führend, wie Bavaria, Dehler, HR, Hanse, Beneteau und Jeanneau.

Der überwiegende Anteil – 80 Prozent! – ist übrigens Besitzer eines gebraucht gekauften Bootes. Das segelt man seit im Schnitt 7,1 Jahren; das Boot selbst ist im Durchschnitt 30,8 Jahre alt (Baujahr 1990).

Bei den einst neu gekauften Yachten sieht es ein wenig anders aus. Hier stehen die Modelle von Hanseyachts ganz oben, gefolgt vom Konkurrenten aus Giebelstadt: Bavaria. Aber auch Boote französicher Hersteller sind beliebt.

20 Prozent der YACHT-Leser segeln ein neu gekauftes Schiff. Das ist im Schnitt seit 11,3 Jahren in ihrem Besitz, es wurde also 2010 auf Kiel gelegt.

Diejenigen, die sich derzeit mit konkreten Kaufabsichten tragen, gucken wider Erwarten nicht zuerst auf den Preis, sondern auf die Qualität und die Segeleigenschaften einer Yacht. Beide Kriterien sind bei der Entscheidung noch wichtiger geworden als in der letzten Umfrage 2018. Auf dem Einkaufszettel ganz oben steht Bavaria, gefolgt von Beneteau.

Mehr als jeder zweite Käufer hat für sein neues Schiff über 100.000 Euro ausgegeben, der Durchschnittspreis einer neuen Yacht liegt inzwischen bei rund 350.000 Euro. Für Gebrauchte wurden im Mittel 86.000 Euro ausgegeben.

Nicht minder spannend als der Blick auf die Lieblingsyachten sind die Erkenntnisse, wie gut oder weniger gut die Werften hinsichtlich Kriterien wie Bauqualität, Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, modernes Design, Serviceorientierung und dergleichen mehr abschneiden. Insgesamt 14 solcher werftbezogenen Aspekte hatten wir abgefragt. Nachfolgend die jeweils drei besten Bootsbauer.

Dream is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, she comfortably cruises at 14 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 16 knots with a range of up to 7,200 nautical miles from her 171,998 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. An advanced stabilisation system on board reduces the side-to-side roll of the yacht and promises guests exceptional comfort levels at anchor or when underway.

A yacht is really just a luxury floating home . When you’re talking 70 feet and larger, they’re a lot nicer than my house. As you’ll see in the luxury yacht interiors below, the quality and aesthetics are simply gorgeous. And we merely feature a small handful of such boats. There are thousands and thousands of these worldwide.

Yacht Primary Bedrooms (Staterooms)

We kick off our yacht interiors gallery with the stateroom. When it comes to the primary bedroom on these boats, no expense is spared. They are large, comfortable and stunning in design. These bedrooms are bigger than our primary bedroom.

Yacht Guest Bedrooms (2 Beds)

Many guest bedrooms on a yacht have two beds so that it can accommodate more people. However, they are, as you’ll see below, still very, very luxurious. These are certainly cozy sleeping quarters.

Salon and Dinette Photos

My favorite room on the boat is the salon and/or dinette area. In many cases, the dinette doubles as the living room. Mega yachts have dedicated salons and dining areas. I love these superb lounge designs below in the cabin as well as the upper lounge areas.

I must admit that kitchens on these super yachts are fairly small. I guess the cooking is done by the staff and yacht owners prefer to have more space for bedrooms, deck space and lounge space. That makes sense given there really is limited space. Nevertheless, these kitchens are gorgeous and the yacht designers certainly didn’t skimp with respect to quality.

Most boats dedicate very little space to bathrooms. Not these. The primary bathrooms below are incredible. The smaller bathrooms are guest bathrooms. These luxury yachts are so large and spacious that even the bathrooms are both beautiful and comfortable to use.
