Located in Yacht Haven Grande, 13 Restaurant is owned and operated by Barbara and Eddie Jackson of Nashville Tennessee, Eddie is a long-time CPA who dreamed of opening a restaurant at his favorite vacation spot. He also”… wanted to bring a little southern style food to the island.”

Happily, thanks to invaluable assistance from seasoned Chef Tully Wilson, Eddie’s dream has come true. That’s also great news for St. Thomas residents and visitors alike.

Almost a decade ago, Chef Tully — a Culinary Institute of America alumni and Nashville native — moved to the Virgin Islands. He brought to the table a creative combination of Southern cuisine and island flair.

According to materials provided by the restaurateurs, “We refuse to compromise on quality in our restaurant. That’s why we source our fresh ingredients from local farmers.”

Offering seasonal and local dishes, the tempting appetizer selection at 13 Restaurant ranges from appetizers such as fried green tomatoes, mussels, grilled octopus and calamari to hushpuppies and more.

A creative twist on the classic hamburger is 13’s very own Bless Your Heart Burger featuring a half-pound brisket burger, applewood smoked bacon, pimento cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion straws on a brioche bun.

Popular entrees include rack of lamb, cedar plank salmon, and shrimp ’n’ grits.

For those in search of craft cocktails, check out the Lemon Cream Pie Martini made with Deep Eddy Vodka, lemonade, sweetened condensed milk and graham cracker rim. Or how about a Burberry that combines blackberries with agave nectar and Stoli Vodka? Another favorite is the Spicy Mongoose made with house-infused pepper tequila, passion fruit, fresh lime juice and tamarind drizzle.

Executive Chef Sunil Sharma

Partner and Executive Chef, Sunil Sharma found his culinary passion at a young age growing up in Dubai, and it was not long before his talent was noticed. In 2007 Sunil began an internship under the world-famous chef, Gordon Ramsay. While learning under the prestigious chef, Sunil developed the culinary discipline that has defined his professional life. 

Chef Sunil first earned his Michelin-starred experience as the Junior Sous Chef at Aquavit (Two Michelin Stars) in New York City before accepting the position of Executive Sous Chef at The Capital Grille. In 2018, Chef Sunil left the skyline of Manhattan for San Francisco where he joined Restaurant Gary Danko (One Michelin Star) as Chef de Cuisine. 

Chef Sunil refined his skills in high-end authentic French cuisine at Gary Danko before relocating to the Caribbean to accept the role of Chef de Cuisine at the renowned Oceana Restaurant & Bistro, located in the historic Frenchtown District of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. 

In 2022 Chef Sunil set out to bring something new to the Island of St. Thomas, and under his culinary design and leadership, St. Thomas Social was born. St. Thomas Social boasts a unique menu that is heavily influenced by Sunil’s love for true Mediterranean cuisine. With each dish he creates, Chef Sunil strives to be innovative — while staying true to his culture — in an effort to provide an unforgettable dining experience.
